In search of real food

Jenny and Nick just reached a lake in a total wilderness.
It's a nice lake. A waterfall is flowing in from a cliff.

This looks like a good place to set up our tent.

Jenny is really astonished when looking at the water.

You can take a bath if you want. I'll set up the tent.

Jenny puts down her luggage and gets naked.
Then she immediately jumps into the water.

Oh, and if you find some fish, feel free to catch them.
We need some dinner.

Nick sets up the tent alone.
He's pretty fast by now. He doesn't take much longer than when he's alone.

Nick keeps sitting there for a while and watches Jenny swim.
He really enjoys being with her.
Even if she's not the most beautiful girl, she's his girl. And she's very tough and reliable.

When he almost falls asleep, Jenny comes back.
Even if Nick is already used to seeing her naked body in front of him, he starts to appreciate it more and more.

Jenny gets dressed again.

Jenny prepares the fire and fills a pot with water.

After a while, Nick comes back with a bag.
It's moving.

Nick just empties the bag above the cooking water and a bunch of frogs fall inside, being killed instantly.

Eww, frogs. I've never eaten them.

I also never ate some. But they should be edible.

I was thinking you would eat anything without hesitating.

They wait a few minutes.

Nick cautiously takes out a frog and tries to eat it.

And, how is it?

It's actually fine. Almost like chicken.
Sadly we don't have spices with us. It tastes a bit bland.

Jenny takes one out as well. A big ugly one.
Then she cautiously takes a bite, which takes her a lot of willpower.

Nick curiously awaits her reaction while watching her chew.

Oh, not bad. I already thought we had to eat our supplies.

Jenny takes a knife and points at his arm again.

Nick starts to fear that she would really cut it off when she's hungry enough. But his worries are probably unfounded.

When they are finished eating, they keep sitting around and talk until late in the night.
